Verification before publishing

Insurance facts and claims are checked against primary sources — official government programs (Medicare.gov, HealthCare.gov, CMS), state departments of insurance, and the NAIC — before a page is published. We avoid absolute or sensational claims and never imply a government affiliation we do not have.

When a figure cannot be confirmed, the claim is reframed in general terms or removed rather than shown with a guessed value.

Ongoing checks

Guidance is rechecked on a recurring schedule because insurance rules, plans, and prices change frequently — especially around enrollment periods. If something has changed, we update the page and the last-reviewed date.
