How We Compare Insurance
The approach behind how XCredit Insurance explains and compares US insurance — and why advertising never changes what we say.
What we explain
Our guides compare insurance on the factors that actually affect a buyer: what a policy covers and excludes, how eligibility works, what drives the premium, the trade-offs between options (for example term vs whole life, or Original Medicare vs Medicare Advantage), and who a type of coverage tends to fit.
We are an educational publisher, not a quote engine. We do not publish invented premiums, quotes, or star ratings, because real insurance prices depend on your age, health, location, coverage, and the insurer.
How we frame recommendations
Where we describe what may fit a situation, we explain the reasoning and the trade-offs rather than pushing a single product. We use soft, honest eligibility language — “you may qualify”, “check whether you qualify” — never guarantees.
When we cite a general figure (such as an average cost), we frame it as approximate and point readers to official or licensed sources for their own numbers.
Sources and verification
Facts come from official government resources, state insurance regulators, the NAIC, and reputable consumer-finance publishers, cross-checked before publishing. When a specific figure cannot be confirmed, we do not publish a guessed number — we direct readers to the insurer or the official program for current details.
How advertising is separated
This site earns revenue from advertising displayed on our pages. That revenue does not determine our editorial position or the accuracy of what we publish. See our Advertiser Disclosure.
